Honoring Our Heroes
We are proud to serve the families of those who served our nation. Our veteran funeral services incorporate the full military honors your loved one earned, creating a tribute that reflects their dedication and sacrifice.
Military Funeral Honors
Eligible veterans are entitled to military funeral honors, which we coordinate on your behalf.
Flag Folding & Presentation
The American flag is ceremonially folded into a triangle and presented to the next of kin with the words "On behalf of a grateful nation..."
Playing of Taps
The haunting notes of Taps, played by a bugler, honor the veteran's service and sacrifice.
Honor Guard
A uniformed honor guard from the veteran's branch of service may be available for the ceremony.
Rifle Volley
Three volleys fired by a rifle party, a tradition dating back centuries to honor fallen warriors.
Veterans Benefits
We help families navigate the benefits available to eligible veterans.
The Department of Veterans Affairs provides several benefits to help with funeral and burial expenses. Our staff is knowledgeable about these programs and can assist with the paperwork.
VA Burial Benefits Include:
- Burial Allowance Partial reimbursement of burial and funeral costs
- Plot Allowance Allowance toward the cost of a burial plot
- Headstone/Marker Government-furnished headstone or grave marker
- Presidential Memorial Certificate Signed by the current President, honoring the veteran's service
- Burial Flag A United States flag to drape the casket
Who Is Eligible?
Military funeral honors are provided for:
- Veterans who served on active duty
- Military members on active duty
- Members and former members of the Selected Reserve
- Former military members who departed under honorable conditions
The DD-214 discharge document is typically needed to verify eligibility.
National Cemetery Burial
Eligible veterans may be buried in a VA national cemetery at no cost. Benefits include:
- Gravesite in a national cemetery
- Opening and closing of the grave
- Perpetual care of the gravesite
- Government headstone or marker
- Burial flag

Don't have the DD-214? We can help you request a copy from the National Personnel Records Center. In most cases, we can verify service through other means while awaiting the official document.
